  • BISCOTTIFICIO ANTONIO MATTEI - PRATO SINCE 1858

    Mattei Biscuit Manufacturers

In 1858 Antonio Mattei opened his business producing and selling the typical almond biscuits in the old town centre of Prato. His original recipe is still kept as a secret of the Pandolfini family, which inherited the old bakery in 1908. Packaged in the classic blue bag, today in the four variants of tastes. The Prato almond biscuits – knows also by the name of Cantuccini – are part of the Tuscan confectionery tradition. Other traditional products are the Toasted Brioche Slices – three different recipes, ideal not only for breakfast.
